Before your Arrival; I had plans to meet you prepared.

Before your arrival,
I had plans to meet you prepared;

To be consistent with my Tilaawah,
Observe solawaat on time, and increase my nawaafil.

I planned to protect my heart from Haraam,
And continuously seek for Halal;
To increase my Tahfeez of the Quran,
And enjoy the beauties of the soothing voices.

I longed to listen to Qaari's recitations,
And do the same myself in emulation.
I had a plan to fill my heart with your love,
And spend the whole month with you in sujood.

To cry my heart to Allah,
To ease the pains of my delays,
And bless me with the best.
But all plans are not just wishes,
I couldn't meet them all, not even half of all I said.

I fought with consistency but couldn't win them all.
But there is one thing that lightens the weight of my heart;
In hope, trust, faith, and contentment,
One thing that makes me feel the blessings.

Laa teqnut min Rahmati Llah,
I never lose my hope in Allah.
I have remained consistent in trusting him,
Worshipping none but Him, and leaving everything in His Hands.

And here you come, I found some love again,
I found some peace again and could fight my fears again.
Loving the darkness from the night,
Finding solace in His Light.

I am not doubting the blessings you've come with,
I am not doubting bounties I will enjoy.
I love to see you because you give me the closeness I always long for,
You give me the calmness my heart yearns for.

I am getting better by the day;
Even if the consistency in my plans swings,
Swinging like a pendulum bulb finding its balance,
My faith in Allah remains immovable and unshakable.

Shahru Ramadan, a time to learn and a time to cope,
A time to strive and a time to hope.
The month of Quran, guidance to mankind,
With clear proofs between the right and wrongs.
By Allah, your impacts will stay with me for long
