How do you feel whenever you embark on a journey that brings you closer to the bigger picture of your vision?
In the last few days, more than two people have asked me how I feel when I travel to the ILAGBO community or return to work.
The questions are always about "comfort, satisfaction, family, life, and other important things."
"My WHY" has always been at the center of my response.
It's always exciting for me to see that I have the opportunity to speak to one of the children again.
It's another chance to fill in and show up for that one child who, despite their young age, is discouraged about life and its challenges.
I consider myself fortunate to be in the presence of that one child who will gain some confidence in his or her abilities and become more aware of what is possible.
My plan was not to be in the classroom forever, an experience I will greatly miss when it's time.
However, the mission and vision are larger in scope and scale than the dreamer.
The road ahead may be long, but I'm not afraid to take it one step at a time.
Being a teacher is a great joy, and the most rewarding aspect of it all is seeing how an excellent little impact can turn into a great impact.
Even if the child can only spell a single word today, I am confident that he or she will stand in front of the world tomorrow to deliver a speech that will inspire people to make a difference.
And if you think I'm tired, know that I'm not. I'm just looking for ways to improve this journey and go above and beyond to spread the impact.
How do you feel whenever you embark on a journey that brings you closer to the bigger picture of your vision?
